HP TouchPad Catches Up To Android In Ad Shares For One Ad Agency
Yes, HP might have announced that the TouchPad is dead, and even sold units off for the bargain basement price of $99. But HP promises that there will still be updates to the tablet, and in fact, more units will be arriving to various retailers. The clamor for the $99 TouchPad, plus the promise of more units, leads at least one ad agency’s ad shares to lean heavily towards the TouchPad.

The chart below is of traffic or ad impressions from Jumptap comparing the HP TouchPad and Android tablets. As you can see, the TouchPad is just a touch below Android tablets. We don’t know what will happen to these numbers in the coming weeks. TouchPad’s numbers might drop, or they might not. But for now, TouchPad seems to be incredibly alive, as evidenced not just by this report, but by the number of people who have failed to get one from the firesale, but will attempt to get one again.
