The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Special Edition Announced, Gold Wiimote Included
Sure, we know that there were a lot of impressive reveals at E3 2011. For instance, Nintendo used their E3 press conference to officially pull the veil off of the Wii U, 343 Industries and Microsoft announced not one, but two Halo games, and Sony finally gave the NGP a (predictably bad) name. Don’t kid yourself, though, because we all know the biggest reveal of the show was that gold Wiimote that Nintendo announced at the beginning of their presser.

Wondering how you can get your hands on one? Nintendo revealed today that it’ll be available as part of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword special edition, which will run you $69.99. This special edition is primarily meant for those of you that don’t already own a Wii Remote Plus, since one will be required to play Skyward Sword. Also included in this special edition is a CD featuring some of the orchestral arrangements that will be performed during the Zelda 25th Anniversary Sympony Concert Tour.
Don’t need a Wii Remote Plus? The regular edition of Skyward Sword will be available for the normal price of $49.99, and the initial run will feature the CD as well. Both editions will be available on November 20th, and at the moment, there’s no word on how long Nintendo will continue to produce these bundles. Does it really matter, though? After all, it’s Skyward Sword, and Wii owners are hurting for some good games in 2011. Day one sales are probably going to be through the roof.
