Epic Games Confirms Season Pass For Gears Of War 3

Epic Games has decided to jump on the Season Pass bandwagon that’s been revolutionizing the way we buy DLC lately, announcing today that they’ll be offering one of their own for the first four post-launch DLC packs for Gears of War 3. Head past the break for all of the juicy details.

For those of you who already know you’re going to love Gears of War 3 and are planning on downloading all Gears of War 3 DLC regardless of quality, the Season Pass is for you. Epic will be offering Gears of War Season Passes for 2,400 Microsoft Points each – $30 for those of you who aren’t up-to-date on your currency conversion rates. That $30 nets you the first four DLC packs at a 33% discount, meaning that you save if you buy them all at the same time (and if you don’t wait to read the reviews first).

The first Gears of War DLC lands in November, but other than that, we’re in the dark as far as future DLC installments go. The Season Pass will be available on the same day Gears of War 3 hits store shelves, September 20th, and in addition to getting all of this DLC at a discounted price, taking the plunge on a Season Pass will also net you the “exclusive” Liquid Weapon set.

I know that some view this as a way for Epic to milk as much money as they can out of Gears of War fans, but there’s a ton of people out there who are going to buy all of the Gears of War 3 DLC anyway, so this is a pretty cool way for them to save a few bucks off the purchase price.
