Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Spotted in the Wild Ahead of IFA 2011 [Upcoming Android Tablet Gets Unofficial Blurry Shots, Official Announcement Coming on September 1?]
Despite being the weekend we’ve gotten plenty of Android-related news for you, whether leaks or actual official confirmations regarding upcoming devices.

The HTC Holiday and the HTC Vigor have been spotted in the wild while the Galaxy S II LTE and the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE have been made official. The Droid Bionic is hitting stores on September 8, as expected, while the U.S. announcement of the regular Galaxy S II has been pushed back a day because of Hurricane Irene.
But that’s not all; we have one more device to show you, in unofficial, blurry pictures, the Galaxy Tab 7.7. The handset is expected to also be unveiled in the following days, on September 1 to be more precise. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is Samsung’s second 7-inch tablet (actually it’s a 7.7-inch device considering its name), following the original Galaxy Tab that was launched about a year ago at the same German show.

The name of the device, Galaxy Tab 7.7, has been fished from Samsung’s Unpacked Android application, and chances are the tablet we see in these images will be available at IFA 2011 at Samsung’s booth.
From what we can gather so far, we’re looking at a device similar with the original Galaxy Tab. We also notice the 30-pin connector plugged in the device as well as four capacitive buttons.

This Galaxy Tab 7.7 is not turned on, and we’d love to see whether it’s running Honeycomb or not. But if it does run Android 3.x then why does it also feature actual buttons? Wasn’t Google trying to do away with button use in tablets? The first Honeycomb tablet doesn’t have any physical or capacitive buttons, and neither do other Honeycomb Galaxy Tab tablets such as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or the Galaxy Tab 8.9.
Anyone interested in a new smaller Android tablet?
