PAX Prime 2011: Penny Arcade Confirms They’ll Be Doing A Third PAX Expo [Chicago & Houston Raise Their Hands As Penny Arcade Guys Tell Press That They'll Be Looking For A Third Show]

PAX Prime is currently going on Seattle, and the PAX East show in Boston (held earlier in the year) is also extremely popular for the gamers out there. But, what about a third PAX show? It’s happening, according to the folks behind Penny Arcade. According to blog reports, Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik have confirmed that they’re going to be a third PAX expo.

It’s been reported for a while, and Jerry and Mike said last year that a third PAX might happen, according gaming blog Joystiq, but this year, they’ve confirmed it, saying “Yeah, there’s going to be a third PAX. Believe it.”

Obviously, they didn’t spill any hints about what cities it could be, but folks are already clamoring for a city possibly in Texas or Chicago, possibly in the southern section of the country to hit Middle America. A PAX Europe is also a possibility, as well. Although, part of the charm of PAX is that it’s a major video game trade show that’s open to the public. Europe has Gamecom, which is open to the public, so it’s not like they’re hurting in that department. Although, as somebody who’s been to a professional trade show in CES and covered it professionally, I wouldn’t be in a rush to go back (although I was working at such an event).

Obviously, the PAX shows must be doing well for Penny Arcade if they’re considering doing a third one. They donate considerable sums to Child’s Play of course, and these things are run for the benefit of the fans, but PAX Prime and PAX East must be doing well if they’re considering adding a third venue.
