If you live in Canada and would like to test out a smartphone for a few weeks, you may want to head on over to the Virgin Mobile website and apply to join their Tester Team. The current crop of test phones are all running Android and include the HTC Wildfire S, the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G and the HTC Sensation 4G.

According to the details posted on the Virgin Mobile website, they are going to run the test period for a total of four weeks and expect you to share details of your experience both with them as well as the world by way of Twitter.

If you can prove that you’re creative and cool enough and we pick you, we’ll give you a free upgrade to one of our hottest new smartphones.

From the above description it seems as if you should already be a Virgin Mobile customer, but on the bright side — you will get to keep the phone.

As for applying, the application seems to be fairly simple and straight forward. The details they are asking for include the basics such as your name, email address and Virgin Mobile phone number as well as your Twitter account and the web address of any blog or personal site that you post to.

Otherwise, they are also asking which phone (of the three) that you would prefer to test and you have to tell them “in 100 words or less why you’d be an awesome Virgin Mobile phone tester.”

And lastly, while they are giving the phone for free, it looks like you will still need to provide the data. From the website, it was noted that “depending on your plan, you might need to upgrade to have enough data to get the most out of a smartphone.”
