Torchlight 2 Price, Final Character Announced
Torchlight 2 definitely missed its original May/June 2011 release window and, sadly, it looks like it may miss summer 2011 completely. We got some new indications today that Torchlight 2 is at least closing in on its release, though, and those indications are the reveal of its price and its final playable class.

When Torchlight 2 does launch, it’ll bear the same price tag as its predecessor: $20. The original Torchlight was well worth the $20 I spent on it (frankly I think the folks at Runic could have charged a full $49.99 for it), and with Runic promising more content and an actual multiplayer mode in Torchlight 2, you can be sure that you’re going to get way more than $20 worth of entertainment out of this sequel.
Finally, Runic also revealed Torchlight 2‘s final character class: The Ember Mage. That rounds out Torchlight 2‘s cast of characters at four, with the Berserker, Engineer, and Outlander also featuring. That’s only one more character than the original Torchlight offered, but with the myriad of new features Torchlight 2 brings to the table, I doubt fans will mind – I certainly don’t, at least.
