More iPhone 5 Parts Leaked Ahead of Release Date
Just yesterday we showed you leaked, but unconfirmed, pictures of iPhone 4S parts, and today we have a fresh collection of images for you, this time around rumored to portray parts of the iPhone 5.

MacPost got it hands on quite a few alleged parts of the upcoming device: the back cover, the power flex, the buzzer, the audio flex part, the volume flex, the battery, the rear camera lens and the camera. Of course, there’s no way of confirming such parts until the next-gen iPhone gets released and subsequently torn apart.

What’s interesting about today’s leak is that we’re looking at a prototype device wearing a N94 label. We’ve seen this model number in earlier leaks based on iOS 4.3 SDK, and it is generally believed that it stands for the fifth-generation iPhone. The prototype in the images is also labeled “EVT,” which stands for Engineering Verification Test and its’ dated June 7, 2011.
As you can see from the images in the gallery below, this iPhone 5 prototype looks fairly similar with the current iPhone 4, while some of the other parts featured by the source seem to be similar to other recent images we showed you. In fact, since we can’t say how many new iPhones Apple will launch this fall, and what their actual names are going to be, we could also refer to this device as the iPhone 4S, for all we know, especially taking into account its similarity with the current handset.
The iPhone 5, a name we use to describe a high-end fifth-generation smartphone, is said to have a curved, iPad 2-like, design and to feature a larger edge-to-edge display. The back cover we see in the image above tells a different story about that particular handset and suggests we may be looking at the iPhone 4S.
Apple is expected to announce its new smartphones in the following weeks, and launch it either in late September, or early October, possibly with all the major U.S. carriers.
What handset would you rather buy, an entry-level iPhone 4S or an iPhone 5 (vote in our poll here)?
