Halo 4 Warthog To Appear In Forza 4
The upcoming Microsoft racing sim Forza Motorsport 4 will feature a new mode called “Auto Vista”, which will include the ability to gawk at the cars in the game, look under the hood and inside them (virtually, of course) as well as review the specs of the car and whatnot. But, one car in the Auto Vista mode will be, shall we say, out of this world! It’s been confirmed that the Warthog, the combat jeep vehicle from the Halo series will be appearing in the uber-realistic driving sim.

According to the folks at Turn 10, the Warthog’s super high-resolution model is from the upcoming Halo 4, which was announced at E3 this year and is being developed by 343 Industries for release next year on the Xbox 360. While the regular (aka real) cars in Auto Vista mode will feature narration about the cars from Top Gear UK presenter Jeremy Clarkson, the facts about the Warthog will be narrated by Jen Taylor, the voice actor who voiced Cortana in the Halo series (as well as Zoey from Left 4 Dead). Nice touch, and it gives the game geek cred for bringing Cortana back – but I would of loved to hear Clarskon pine about the 12-liter liquid-cooled hydrogen-injected engine in the Warthog, which I’m sure he would of found it to be the best ground military vehicles in the world.
Unfortunately for those hoping to take the Warthog for a hot lap around the Nurburgring, the Halo vehicle won’t be drivable in the game. For that, you’ll have to wait until Halo 4 next year. But, the inclusion of the Warthog in Forza 4 is a nice addition. A nice combination of two Microsoft properties.
