Google+ Gets Integrated Into Gmail People Widget
Mark Striebeck of Google recently announced the integration of a Google+ feature on Gmail. It’s nothing big, but it is convenient if you don’t have one of Google+’s dead accounts, and you actually use the social networking site actively.

The integration is the simple addition of the email sender’s latest Google+ post on their info found on the Gmail people widget. If you take a look at the image below, you’ll see Bella Kazwell’s latest Google+ post that says “Recent posts, now on Unicorn!” below her personal information and contact buttons. You don’t have to worry about random people seeing your newest update, though – the system only works if both sender and receiver are Google+ users. The receiver must also be a part of the circle to which the sender shares that particular update. A small update, but a pretty nifty feature.

And if you’re wondering what “unicorn” means on that status update, Mark Striebeck reveals that “Unicorn” is Google’s nickname for the internal Gmail test environment.
