BlackBerry Curve 9360 Now Available With Telus
RIM recently unveiled a few new BlackBerry Curve models and at the time they gave the fairly standard sounding release news. In other words, they announced the handsets and offered a teaser as to when and where they would be available but left out the pricing and specific launch dates.

According to the announcement from RIM, the Curve 9350, 9360 and 9370 was going to be available in Canada later this month and then come available globally in September. And well, true to their word, the first Canadian carrier has announced availability.
The carrier is Telus and they have the Curve 9360 available for purchase as of today. The handset has arrived priced at $49.99 on a three-year agreement. Furthermore, there is the option to pay $249.99, $299.99 or $349.99 to knock that three-year commitment down to two-years, one-year or no-term.
As for features of the Curve 9360, those include;
- 2.44 inch (480 x 360) HVGA display
- 800MHz processor
- 512MB RAM
- 512MB internal memory
- microSD card slot
- 5 megapixel camera with flash and video recording
- GPS
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
- Bluetooth 2.1
- BlackBerry 7 OS
- Measures: 60 x 108.9 x 11 mm
- Weighs: 104 grams
And lastly, for those not digging the Curve 9360 and looking for another BlackBerry 7 OS handset with Telus — there is also the Bold 9900 and Torch 9810 which are available for $149.99 and $129.99 respectively. In addition, the Torch 9860 is also still listed as coming soon.
Personally speaking, if you are looking for a BlackBerry with this form factor — the Bold 9900 is a much nicer phone. Not only is the display a bit larger (2.8 inches) but the resolution is 640 x 480. Plus, you get 8GB of internal storage. Then again, you are also going to pay a bit more for the Bold, $100 more. That being said and trying to be responsible in terms of the price, the smaller display can be lived with and a microSD card will make up for the lack of internal storage on the Curve.
