Motorola Atrix Not Actually Most Powerful Smartphone In The World

UK Says Claim By Motorola About The Atrix Could Be Seen As Misleading Because Of Processor Speed

Motorola has been advertising ever since its release that the Atrix is the most powerful smartphone in the world. Perhaps it was true when it first came out but now because of the processor speed of one competitor the claim may not be quite as strong as it once was. The UK Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) has ruled that it is in fact not the most powerful, but that may be a matter of opinion.

Apparently from this point going forward, the “powerful” statement has to be omitted from advertisements so as to not mislead consumers. Apparently it is because the Samsung Galaxy S II has a faster processor ( dual-core 1.2 GHz) that the statement is no longer true. Motorola still holds to the claim not because of processor speed (Atrix processor is a dual-core 1 GHz) but because of overall performance, abilities and features.

So Motorola has to change their advertisements but that’s OK. The way technology goes, it won’t be long until something more powerful comes out anyhow.
