Confirmed: Microsoft Offering Five Free Games With New Xbox 360 Bundle In Canada
Yesterday, we told you about a leaked picture of a store kiosk showing a new Xbox 360 bundle coming with five pack-in games that were all top-notch games (and Fable III). It’s now been confirmed that that bundle is coming, but for now, it seems to be exclusive to Canada. Future Shop and BestBuy.ca are both listing the bundle, with no sign of it on American sites yet.

The Canadian websites are listing it as “Xbox 360 250GB Console with Game Download Card”. The Game Download Card is the five games, remember that they’re offering digital copies of the five games, and you’ll get codes to download them from the Xbox Live Marketplace digitally. Here’s a brief recap of the games being offered:
- Gears of War 2
- Halo 3
- Halo Wars
- Alan Wake
- Fable III
Pretty impressive start to an Xbox 360 games collection for any new owner. You have to imagine that this will be the “holiday” bundle for the Xbox 360 this year, at least in Canada, barring possibly an additional Kinect bundle that would appeal to families. Pricing for the bundle is set at $299, which is the regular MSPR for the “Elite” Xbox 360 package with the 250GB hard drive.
Have any of our Canadian readers picked up this bundle yet? Do our American readers wish this deal would come to their Best Buy? Anybody planning to order one from BestBuy.ca? Tell us what you think of this Xbox starter kit in a box via the comments section below.
