Vizio's Eight Inch Tablet Now Offers Hulu Plus

The Vizio Tablet Will Let You Take Many Of Your Shows With You Where Ever You Go Thanks To Hulu Plus Support

Happy news for all you road warriors out there: those of you with the Vizio eight inch tablet now have a handy new tool to kill time and keep yourself entertained while waiting in line or at offices or anywhere in general: Hulu Plus.

With Hulu only recently announcing that it was looking to start taking bids for acquisition from some major players in digital entertainment, this proves almost a bit anticlimactic, but nonetheless, useful for those with Vizio tablets.

This should interest you for several reasons, especially if you happen to be a home theater enthusiast like myself. One, Vizio itself is a pretty widely recognized brand name in terms of televisions. Getting a Vizio television is a pretty good deal and a pretty nice piece of hardware to boot. Two, the Vizio tablet actually can serve as a remote for your home theater gear, and its HDMI port allows you to connect your tablet to your television, letting you push content from your tablet to your much bigger screen. Three, there’s the price; about the only better deal in tablets right now is a series of low-end Android tablets or the massively discounted HP TouchPad, assuming you can even find one any more.

See, the Vizio eight inch tablet comes your way at $299, which is a comparative bargain against most any tablet out there, including the always-popular iPad, which weighs in at a substantial $499. Adding Hulu Plus to the equation, especially considering that you can push said content onto a bigger screen, is a welcome development indeed.

Though admittedly, Hulu’s value is slipping a bit after being forced into a series of deals where content gets delayed (though studios may have to reconsider that in light of recent news that says the Hulu lag actually increases piracy), but still, there’s plenty of content to be had, lag or no, and the Vizio tablet will not only give you access to it but also give you a kind of set-top box for it as well.

So what do you guys think? A Vizio eight inch tablet sounding like a good buy for you now? Or do you still think you’d rather have an iPad instead? Regardless, we want to hear your thoughts on tablets and Hulu alike in the comments section, so head on down!
