New HTC Puccini Images Available for the Public, Some Specs & Features Confirmed
By now the HTC Puccini is not a new device name anymore and everyone interested in buying a new tablet soon has probably heard of it. We’re looking at a 10-inch tablet that’s going to hit AT&T, and other carriers, soon.

Today we have more leaked images of the Honeycomb tablet, via Engadget, and the same source confirms some of the rumored specs and features of the device. The Puccini will sport a 10.1-inch display with WXGA resolution, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, an 8-megapixel camera, Android Honeycomb and support for AT&T’s upcoming 4G LTE network.

We still don’t have official release dates and pricing but we could see the Puccini hit stores sooner than we think considering that AT&T has already started launching LTE-ready devices, albeit they are just data cards for now. The carrier will start turning on that real 4G switch in various markets, at which point it will have to launch LTE-enabled smartphone and tablets. The first candidates are, so far, this HTC Puccini and the Samsung Impulse 4G we’ve seen in a previous rumor.

It will also be interesting to see what other markets will HTC launch this Puccini tablet in and I’m curious to see how the device will do against other Honeycomb peers such as the Motorola Xoom or the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. And we can’t talk about the competition without mentioning the iPad 2, not because the device is still selling like hot cakes but also because Apple is involved in a legal fight, whether suing or being sued, with the most important Android device makers, HTC included. Will Cupertino try to block sales of the Puccini too?
Let’s hear it from you, tablet fans out there, would you buy the Puccini based on the screenshots and information available to you thus far?
