Motorola Droid Bionic Makes Video Appearance: Boot Sequence & Speed Test
The Droid Bionic, this elusive Android 4G LTE smartphone that people have been waiting for months now, has made another unofficial appearance. This time around we’re looking at a video of the device that shows its boot screen as well as a speed test.

Considering the amount of leaks and rumors we’ve seen based on the Droid Bionic in the recent weeks, we’re not surprised to see that someone with access to the device has dared make a home video staring it. We’re being shown the boot sequence of the Bionic as well as some user interface elements followed by a full speed test.
It’s pretty clear we’re looking at a Droid-branded device here, the big red eye is making its presence felt right from the beginning, or better said right after Motorola reminds the user he or she is handling a device with dual-core technology on board. That’s a bit ironic when you come to realize that, immediately after booting, the phone seems a bit laggy, although the lag seems to disappear later on.

Then we get to look at the new interface, which isn’t called Blur anymore. Well, whatever it is, you’ll either like it or you’ll install your own custom Gingerbread build later down the road.
Finally we have the speed test, which is definitely a necessary step to take when playing with a 4G LTE device (notice how 4G LTE seems to be active) but the results are nowhere near theoretical speeds offered by Long Term Evolution technology. However, one bar got this Droid Bionic owners download speeds of 4.5 Mbps and upload speeds of 2Mbps so it’s not such a bad experience. The Android Market has also been loaded on the device, although the user decided it was time to stop the recording.
The Bionic is expected to be launched by Verizon at some point in early September, with September 8 being the last rumored release date so you have plenty of time to decide whether to buy it or not. And when you make up your mind, drop us a line to tell us why / why not.
