Infographic Clarifies Who's Suing Who In The Mobile Industry Over Patent-Related Issues
If you’ve kept up with any of the news about the lawsuits being tossed around in the mobile industry, you know what a tangled mess it really is. It would be hard to mention one name in that industry not in some type of litigation whether they’re being sued or the one’s doing the suing and many are doing both. Reuters was kind enough to design an inforgraphic making it just a bit easier to see who’s suing who.

As you can see, the image bears a striking resemblance to a plate of colorful spaghetti with lines of all colors intertwining with one another.

There are a couple of interesting tidbits that stick out:
- Half of the companies in the graphic use the Android OS
- Apple has the most arrows pointing to them or coming from them
- Kodak is the only company suing Apple where Apple isn’t returning the “favor”
- Microsoft seems to be the only company mentioned who is licensing technology to other companies
I’m sure there is more to ascertain from this masterfully created piece of art. It also seems to serve a dual purpose, first making it easier to understand the goings on, and secondly giving a general overview of just how messy things have gotten in the mobile industry.
