Facebook Ticker Coming To An Account Near You
Facebook announced a live feed ticker feature sometime ago, and as its name implies, it’s a feed that updates in real time. Because what we really need to do in life is to closely monitor all our friends’ activities and interests from the most inane to the juiciest bits. And that feature might soon be coming to your account. If it hasn’t yet, that is.

The Facebook Ticker is a live feed feature that goes on the side of the Facebook interface, feeding you with your friends’ every move. But wait! Doesn’t Facebook already have a feed? Yep, it does indeed. This older feed with now be called “Highlights,” and will only feature a few posts supposedly most important among all status updates determined by Facebook’s latest algorithm that’s sure to change time and again.

Earlier this month, Facebook also announced a Ticker for its incredibly numerous browser games, enticing you to waste so much more of your life playing them.

Unfortunately for us users of Facebook who absolutely HATE these new features, Facebook just ignores all of our complaints and forces this crap on us. A lot of people are moving to Google+ just because of these ‘improvements’ that suck!!
This is horrible! I certainly do not wish everyone of my friends to know what I do when and have no desire to continue playing games. This is a huge privacy invasion and plan to discontinue game play and fb use until it is resolved.
Not only is this annoying and invasive thing being forced on us, it also does NOT work properly. The faq page says you can control the privacy settings and choose what to allow, but despite having set everything to max privacy, posts still appear. When yu=ou click the “X” tha is supposed to allow you to remove individual posts and tell it not to publish any more,, it SAYS it will no longer do so, that the settings have been saved – but the minute you return to what you were doing, up pops another post!
I want to know how to get rid of Ticker it is not needed and I hate it very annoying to say the least Waiting for Google to come out then I will say good by to facebook
So now there’s a newsfeed that only tells you some things, and a little mlive one to tell you *all things. fb in its implementation of new stuff only gets more bloated and complicated. #dumb
HATE IT
I’ve been fighting it for a week. I hate it. I want 100% of my feed in my main newsfeed again with the options menu next to Most Recent BACK again. What you had worked very well. You don’t fix what isn’t broken Facebook. I can’t access my game feed well enough to even play anymore. This is never going to fly unless you give us options to set. In other words, if I set See 1300 game feeds, let me set it permanently. The ticker flies way too fast and can’t be paused. So even if I click something, then go back to the ticker I can’t tell where I was. I am missing out on hundreds of posts that I want to see and I am getting a huge deluge of posts that I do NOT want to see. Why did you create a communication device for the people of the world if your intent was to CONTROL what they were able to access from it?????
I copied this from above “Earlier this month, Facebook also announced a Ticker for its incredibly numerous browser games, enticing you to waste so much more of your life playing them.” What a bunch of bull. The ticker completely supresses the games. It is not usable for locating game feeds necessary to play.Someone at FB has some kind of inflated ego thinking he has the right to create a media, control completely what anyone gets to see and then think that people won’t care. I will look for a new media.
Facebook has finally screwed the pooch on this one, absolutely destroying my trust – what there was left of it. This move is entirely for the needs of the developers, NOT the users. We don’t want to know every single thing everyone we know is up to at all times. Ludicrous.
