Skitch Comes To Android Just As Evernote Promised Bringing Annotation & Sketching To Your Photos
Yesterday we heard that Evernote had acquired Skitch and that they had some big plans. They immediately dropped the price for the Apple version of the app to $0 and promised to release the Android version to the Android Market that same day. Just as promised, Android users have the free version in the Market for downloading.

Skitch is as application that makes quick sketching and annotating on photos very easy. It was originally offered in Apple’s App Store for $19.99 but Evernote thought they’d be nice and make it free. That was yesterday’s news. Today (since late yesterday) Android users also have a free version to download in the Android Market. Evernote promises to not stop there but that Skitch will eventually be available to every platform under the sun.
Evernote is a favorite among many users and is one of the best “surrogate brain” type apps around. The developers did a top notch job with the app and we can be confident that what they’ve got planned with the Evernote/Skitch integration will be worth keeping tabs on.
