Samsung Galaxy S II 4G LTE or New Galaxy Tab 7-inch Coming on September 1?

Samsung is getting ready for a new important announcement, and that’s besides the U.S. event it has already scheduled to launch the Galaxy S II in America. The South Korean giant is preparing for “something big” at IFA 2011, where, on September 1, it will host a new “Unpacked” event.

We’ve seen such events before, at previous trade shows this year, such as MWC or CTIA, and we’re expecting Samsung to announce some new flaghsip device in Berlin, Germany, in about two weeks from now.

MWC 2011 brought us two important mobile devices, the Galaxy S II and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and CTIA 2011 featured two new tablets, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the redesigned Galaxy Tab 10.1. What will IFA’s Unpacked event unveil? The word on the street is that Samsung Mobile could announce a 4G LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy S II but a second-generation 7-inch Galaxy Tab Android tablet is also a likely choice.

While Samsung will not reveal any details about the upcoming device, the video teaser it posted on YouTube, and available below, has some interesting tags, “4G” and “LTE” (apparently the video is private now, but it’s still available from other sources) that support such Galaxy S II 4G LTE rumors. At the same time Samsung is said to have used “tablet” as a keyword too, so a new tablet announcement could also be in the works.

Samsung’s first tablet, the original 7-inch Galaxy Tab, was launched at IFA 2010, so a product refresh may be due. But whatever it is, we’re certainly looking at a mobile product, and one that can be used to make phone calls, if the teaser video above is to be believed.
