Motorola Droid Bionic Pricing Now Leaked, Release Date Included

Motorola’s First 4G LTE Smartphone to Cost $299.99 on Contract or $589.99 Full Price Starting with September 8, Says MAP Leak]

The Motorola Droid Bionic, one of the most expected Android handsets scheduled to hit Verizon in September, has now leaked pricing details, although, as always with such documents that appear in the wild, a grain of salt is required until either the carrier or the manufacturer confirm them.

The Bionic, being an LTE device, is already expected to be priced higher that regular smartphones, which is something that Verizon did with the Bionic’s predecessors, the HTC Thunderbolt, the Samsung Droid Charge or the LTE Revolution.

Naturally, potential customers expect it to cost either $249.99 or $299.99 with a new two-year contract, instead of the regular $199.99. But today, thanks to the leaked minimum advertised price (MAP) document above, we’re looking at what seems to be the final subsidized price for the device.

The handset is apparently going to cost you $299.99, on contract, with Droid-Life saying the full retail price to be $589.99 instead of the $587 suggested earlier today. According to the same spreadsheet the launch date of the Bionic seems to be September 8, which is in line with what we’ve heard before. Motorola and/or Verizon are yet to confirm such rumors though.

Yesterday we saw a leaked Tips and Tricks manual for the Droid Bionic, which also suggests the launch of the device is getting closer and closer. The phone, besides being Verizon’s fourth LTE device, is also quite an interesting handset to consider by Android smartphone fans.

The Bionic will offer you a 4.3-inch qHD display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and HD recording, front-facing camera, 16GB preinstalled memory and 16GB microSD card in the box, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot feature for up to 8 Wi-Fi devices, LTE connectivity, Webtop support, wireless printing, ZumoCast file streaming and Android (quite possibly Gingerbread) acting as the brain of the device.

Are you buying the Droid Bionic next month or will you get the iPhone 4S/5 instead?
