Gamescom 2011: PlayStation Vita To Get Skype & Foursquare
The fact that PlayStation Vita isn’t even coming out till 2012 (but you can preorder from Best Buy Canada!), and yet we’re already hearing so much about it proves Sony is good at keeping us interested. During this year’s Gamescom in Cologne, Sony announced a couple of social tools to be integrated on the PS Vita: Twitter and Foursquare.

These two services join a number of other tools previously announced for the Vita. No need to download apps – they come preinstalled with the handheld console. Sony didn’t show the interface of either tools during the convention, however. It was also revealed that all PS Vita games are downloadable, and that includes the six games Ubisoft is developing for the console, one of which is popular title Assassin’s Creed.

Sony was in the spotlight in Gamescom for other announcements that got people talking such as a price cut for the PS3 and a cheap PSP for Europe.
