Windows 8 Screenshots & Changelog For Build 8064 Get Leaked
Microsoft is working hard on Windows 8, its next major computer OS update, expected to be launched at some point in 2012. Today we have some screenshots for you as well as a leaked changelog for build 8064.

We’re still a long way from a Windows 8 beta version, so don’t expect to run the first versions of Microsoft’s next OS on your computer yet. Microsoft is certainly getting ready to heavily market this important product, and it’s more than likely to see the giant Redmond-based corporation cash in big time on this upcoming Windows 8 version, just like it did with Windows 7.
The build number, 8064, suggests that Microsoft is getting near to the pre-beta stage, although at this point there’s no telling when the Windows 8 beta version will be launched. Today’s eye candy will not satisfy your needs to get a taste of what Redmond is readying for you, especially since the images available in the gallery below will not reveal any of the new features of the OS.
Build 8064 has not been leaked, at least not yet, and Microsoft is said to take extra precautionary steps to prevent such leaks in the immediate future by requiring unique keys for the Windows Developer Preview:
“IntelDistrib would like to announce the immediate availability of Windows 8 x86 Client Build 8039 for testing at Intel.
NOTE:
There are two changes to the EEAP builds starting with this EEAP that you should be aware of:
• All OS installations using these builds will now require the unique key for the Windows Developer Preview. Installation with previous generic keys will no longer be supported. PRODKEY.TXT files containing generic keys will no longer be included in the build packages. You will have to get the New Product Key provided on the product site. This is a special key as part of the partnership Intel has with Microsoft.
• The name of the EEAP builds in this package contain “FBL_EEAP” instead of “WINMAIN”. This change is a name change only, and will not affect your ability to download or use these builds in your testing.”
We also have a changelog for build 8064, although it won’t be of much use to users that don’t have any access to this pre-beta Windows 8 version, not to mention that the leaked images above won’t backup any of the changes reflected here:
• A new wallpaper (5th generation)
• A new BSOD (2nd generation) (back to blue with a smiley : ( )
• A new bootscreen (2nd generation) (betta fish is gone)
• A new installprep and WinPE look. (5th generation)
• Internet Explorer 10 Developer Preview (pre release version) (with Internet Explorer 10 splashscreen)
• A new colored “Windows” splashscreen during installprep loading file.
• Immersive Remote Desktop (old)
• Immersive Control Panel (old)
• WinStore (old)
• Windows 7 wallpaper deleted
• New WiFi/Ethernet icons (old)
• New Touch Keyboard icon
• New genuine center (old)
• Windows DVD Maker gone

What is your next computer OS going to be: OS X Lion or Windows 8? Or is it maybe Linux?
