Apple Campus 2: Futuristic Complex For Cupertino's Favorite Fruit Company
Cupertino’s favorite fruit company is moving its headquarters to something that looks a lot more futuristic – so much so, that you’d expect it to take off the ground anytime. Dubbed the Apple Campus 2, the circular structure would have four stories, and a whole lot of greeneries.

New documents on the second Apple Campus emerged recently, giving us a bigger view of what the new headquarters would look like. Apple Campus 2 would share the glass wall design you see on Apple Stores so employees have an unobstructed view of the trees. Parking was moved completely underground so 80% of the 150 acres could be covered in 6,000 trees; apricot orchards included. One of the main changes that the new Apple headquarters will undergo is the inclusion of an energy center that will supply the campus with electricity from natural gas (with backup connection to the grid, of course).

Jobs first presented the Apple Campus 2 plans to the Cupertino City Council back in June of this year. Groundbreaking is planned for next year, with completion of building expected by 201.
Here’s some of the renderings released by Cupertino for those that are interested to see what Apple’s new HQ looks like (it’s not a patch on TFTS Towers, but you can’t have everything can you?), simply click on the image of interest to enter the gallery and see larger versions:
