New Nokia Windows Phone 7 Handsets Spotted In the Wild, Unless They’re Completely Fake

Blurry Images Reveal Potential Nokia WP7 Devices; Sea Ray Not Present

Yesterday we found out that Nokia will only focus on Windows Phone 7 handsets for the U.S. market, and today we get to look at some questionable renderings that are supposed to show us what future Nokia WP7 smartphones may look like.

My Nokia Blog has gotten its hands on the images below showing future Nokia devices, but they’re too blurry for our taste. They look pretty fake also, which is something we all have to keep in mind when looking at such leaked images. They have been sent by “someone claiming to be from Microsoft (but using an ovi.com email)”, according to the blog, and we can’t wait to see Nokia actually launch Windows Phone 7 handsets later this year.

Besides the blurred images that show plenty of Microsoft and Nokia branding (Ovi included), there was also a video available, but the video in question has been pulled from YouTube since it was first posted. Are these signs that could indicate we’re looking at actual Nokia Windows Phone 7 designs?

We have no idea when Nokia will announce its first Windows Phone 7 handsets but we do know there’s a special event scheduled for August 17 in Germany, ahead of the GamesCom event that will take place in Koln, Germany, from 18-21 August. Considering that’s a gaming event we’d be surprised to see Nokia announce such an important device for the company as its first Windows Phone 7 smartphone expected to hit stores by the end of the year.

According to a previous leak, coming straight from Nokia’s CEO, Stephen Elop, we know how this first device could look like, and what it would be called. But the images that we’re showing you today do not include the Sea Ray, so, in case they are real, they may be showing the future of WP7 handsets, beyond the unreleased yet Sea Ray.

What Nokia handset would you rather buy (vote in our poll here)?
