Google+ Could Surpass Twitter Population In A Year
We already know Google+ could be the fastest growing social network, growing a lot fast than FaceBook did in its early days (though to be fair, Google+ has the advantage of having a mammoth brand name from the start). It’s also quite infamous for deleting accounts, and strictly implementing its “real name only” rule.

But the growth of Google+’s population is undeniable. A recent survey conducted by Bloomberg and YouGov indicates that in about a year, the Google+ population could surpass Twitter. Survey says it could claim 22% of adult internet users in the U.S., up from the current 13%. As a result of this growth, Google+ will come second on the ranks of most used social site after FaceBook, which, in turn, is expected to lose 2% of the American adult population.

Says Michael Nardis of YouGov,
Google+ is tracing a path similar to Facebookâs initial growth — building excitement in a core group of early adopters.
Already, 45% of all the survey respondents say they read the site’s content every day. And with Google surely to implement more features on the site, we could only expect numbers to grow over time. That is, if Google doesn’t keep banning people from having unusual names.
