Samsung Epic 4G Touch (Galaxy S II), HTC EVO Design 4G & Motorola Admiral Coming to Sprint
Sprint may, or may not, get the iPhone 5 at some point later this year, but I think it’s pretty clear the carrier will continue to pursue hot Android devices. A new leak suggests that a bunch of interesting such smartphones are going to be available soon from Sprint, most of them high-end devices capable to offer 4G WiMAX support.

These are made by Samsung, HTC and Motorola, or some of the usual suspects when it comes to new Android devices, and they’re expected to be called the Samsung Epic 4G Touch, the HTC EVO Design 4G and the Motorola Admiral.

The first one, apparently launching in both white and black, will be Sprint’s own Galaxy S II version. We’ve heard the device will be referred to by Sprint as the Epic Touch 4G and today we find out that the previous rumors were almost right as “Touch” and “4G” will switch places in that product name, not that it really matters how the carrier will name this superphone. What’s important to notice here is that the Epic 4G Touch will be the successor of the Epic 4G (Sprint’s Galaxy S version that sports a full QWERTY keyboard) and while the 4G WiMAX support is still in place, there’s no sliding keyboard anymore for this Galaxy S handset.
The EVO Design 4G is a bit more mysterious. We haven’t seen this device name in the wild so far, although some of you may be familiar with the HTC Kingdom, which is a different way to call the EVO Design 4G apparently. The phone will offer a qHD display, 3D support and a dual-core CPU.
Last, but not least, we’re looking at the Motorola Admiral, which may not be a high-end smartphone considering it’s lacking 4G WiMAX support according to its name. We have no details on this handset yet, but we’re going to bring you all the hot stuff regarding all these new Android handsets coming to Sprint later this year in due time. Speaking about release dates and pricing, these are not available yet for any of the three devices we just mentioned.
In case you happen to have information that may help us in our quest to discovering more details about any of these three devices, then, by all means, drop us a line!
