Microsoft Windows Phone Tango Rumored To Have Universal Content Search

Leaked Photo Shows WP Tango's Alleged Content Search Function

We’re sure a lot of people are pumped to see Mango phones hit the shelves soon. But even before the public gets its hands on the Mango, we’re already hearing about its successor, the Tango. A recently leaked image of what’s allegedly the Tango interface suggests that it would come with a functionality called Content Search.

Content Search will allow users to scour their phones’ content – sort of like the iPhone Search. Input a search string, and the search feature will come up with results it gleaned from searching stored convos, conversations, FaceBook details, and so on and so forth. If it doesn’t find anything relevant locally, only then would it conduct a search query online.

The Tango is Windows Phone built 8200 and comes after built 7720 better known as the Mango. It’s expected to be the predecessor to Apollo, which is Windows Phone 8 – if Microsoft decides to end the WP 7 builds with the Tango, that is.
