HP TouchPad Is On Sale For Over $100 Off Price On Woot.com

Gadget Deals Site Woot Has A Super Deal On The webOS Tablet, Did They Fall Off A Truck Or Is The TouchPad Selling Poorly?

Woot.com was the craze of the tech world in 2005. If you’re unfamiliar with their site, they sell one gadget a day, usually for a heavy discount, and when they’re out, they’re out and you have to check back to see tomorrow’s gadget. Sort of a proto-Groupon for gadget nerds before Groupon existed. Today, they’ve got a wonderful deal, the HP TouchPad tablet sporting webOS for over $100 off the regular MSRP.

Woot is listing the TouchPad for $379.99 plus $5 shipping. That makes it a great deal and $120 off the regular $500 price of the tablet. Although the new tablet received mixed reviews from critics and users, webOS is still a pretty popular operating system that is widely acclaimed by a lot of people.

Let’s briefly go over the specs of the HP TouchPad, shall we?

  • 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU
  • webOS 3.0
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16 or 32GB memory
  • 1.3MP front-facing camera
  • 9.7-inch widescreen LCD display

Note that the one woot is selling is the 16GB model, which usually goes for $499. The 32GB model is $100 more tablet’s worth, at $599.

If you have any experiences with woot.com, feel free to share them in the comments section, though I’ve heard from a number of people that the quality of the goods you get from there isn’t very good. Perhaps woot is selling a shipment that didn’t meet quality assurance standards? Whatever the case, this is a great deal on the HP TouchPad. If they still have them by the time this goes up, hit the  source link below to check it out.
