Google+ App For Android Gets Update
Google released the Google+ App for Android at the end of June, and one for the iPhone and iPad half a month or so after. The Android app, in particular, have had several updates since then, with the newest one rolling out a couple of days ago. Google lists several updates included in the newest version of Google+ App for Android, ranging from bug fixes to additional features.

According to the app page on Android market, these are all included in the newest version:
- Improved notifications reliability
- ”_add to circle” notifications shown in bulk
- Share stream posts to individual people
- Clicking a +mention takes you to the person’s profile
- +mentions now autofill from your Circles
- Stream no longer resets to top when screen is rotated
- Nearby accuracy
- Start a 1:1 huddle from a person’s profile or a group huddle from a circle profile
- Hide 1:1 huddles
- Clickable links in huddles
- Improved autocomplete when adding a person to a huddle
It was recently reported that Google+ could be the fastest-growing social network. Kudos to Google for making sure the Android app is running smoothly now that more and more people are. The site’s growth isn’t without controversy, though. As Google+ does not allow the use of pseudonyms and nicknames, account deletions of people who use them, as well as of people with names Google deems unusual, have become a pressing issue – even perhaps a reason why some people choose not to join at this point in time.
