Netflix Users Prefer Game Consoles For Streaming, Hulu Users Stick To Computers
Majority of Netflix users prefer streaming videos on their TV screens using a game console, a Nielsen study says. A total of 42% among the Netflix users included among the 12,000 study responders says they use their Wii, Playstation 3, or Xbox Live to stream. On the other hand, the same percentage of Hulu users prefers sticking to their computers to stream videos.

A vast difference in the kind of shows Hulu and Netflix users stream is also evident. Netflix users are more inclined to stream movies, though a healthy percentage says they stream both movies and TV shows equally. TV Shows are the clear runaway winner for Hulu users, though. Other options for streaming venues included in the study are internet-connected Blu-Ray player, internet-enabled TV, Roku Box, mobile phones, iPad, Google TV, and Apple TV.
