Amazon Tablet Might Have What It Takes To Take On The Apple iPad
A Retrevo study indicates that the much-awaited Amazon Tablet could have what it takes to give the Apple iPad a healthy competition. That is if it is indeed priced competitively. A total of 48% among the study’s responders says they will consider an Android tablet — if it’s priced below $300.

From the very start, Amazon says its tablet will be priced competitively. Recent revelation regarding Amazon’s supposed purchase of 2-finger touchscreen solution displays suggests even more than the tablet will be on the lower-end of the pricing spectrum. And lucky for Amazon, too – 55% of the study’s responders says that if they ever purchase a non-iPad tablet, it would be from the company.
But if there’s a really huge price disparity between the iPad and the Amazon tablet, then that means these devices don’t really cater to the same specific markets. Nevertheless, we can only wait and see if the Amazon tablet lives up to the hype.
