We often cover deals and price drop for smartphones and tablets, and more often than not, these deals seem to come by way of third party retailers. Granted, that is not to say the carriers never drop the price, however that is not the case in this instance. What we have here is a deal on the Sprint compatible Samsung Nexus S 4G.

The offer comes by way of two third party retailers with a third retailer trailing not all that far behind. Bottom line, if you are looking (or have been considering) picking up the Nexus S 4G with Sprint then you owe it to yourself to make the purchase by way of Amazon Wireless or Best Buy.

The price with Best Buy is free and the price with Amazon Wireless is 1 penny, which is basically free. That being said, they are both offering the same price and on top of that they are both including free shipping. According to the details on the respective sites, Best Buy notes their offer as shipping in 2-5 business days and Amazon Wireless notes their offer as usually shipping in 24 hours with two day shipping provided.

Given that, while either would make a good choice, we would side with Amazon just because the handset is likely to arrive a bit quicker. Then again, Best Buy has retail stores which means you can venture away from the computer, out into the world and buy the phone in person and walk out with it in hand. That being the case, Best Buy sounds pretty good for some instant gratification.

Furthermore, another perk for Amazon, they are offering the handset long with the $15 credit deal which gives you $5 to spend on MP3′s, $5 to spend on apps and $5 to spend on the Kindle.

And lastly, just because we like Wirefly, we will mention their current pricing — $29.99 (for new customers and $99.99 for those upgrading). Needless to say, they do not seem to be the best deal in this case. Of course, with Best Buy and Amazon offering the Nexus S 4G for free, Wirefly may soon be adjusting their price to better compete.
