Online Streaming Of Newly Released Fox TV Shows Will Soon Be Restricted To Only Pay Television Subscribers
Fox is starting a new initiative giving exclusive online viewing rights of newly released television shows to authenticated pay television subscribers only. This means that those wanting to log onto Fox.com to catch up on the latest episode of their favorite show will have to wait eight days to do so for free. Participating distributors will have exclusive rights to the eight-day window.

Viewers will be able to log onto to any participating distributor’s site, such as Hulu, Dishonline, Fox.com, and view the newest shows as long as they are subscribers. Free viewers of these streams will have to wait. Fox authentication only affects online viewing and all other services should remain the same. This move will help give viewers more incentive to sign up for paid subscription services adding more value to their subscriptions.
DISH Network is happy to be the first to jump on board. They are adding the service at no added cost to the consumer. Their customers can now enjoy watching whatever they want whenever they want.
