Asus Eee Pad Transformer Gets Its Android Update Tomorrow
Those of you with Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablets out there–and there are a surprisingly large number of you–will be happy to know that you’ll be getting your long-awaited and often-rumored update to 3.2 Honeycomb tomorrow. And the word comes from no less than Asus’ own Twitter feed.

Our own J. Angelo Racoma had caught the word about early stirrings to an update for the surprisingly popular platform about a couple weeks ago, and indeed, the speculation has been put to rest via one of the newest most official channels, their Twitter feed.
The Transformer, best described as a tablet / netbook hybrid (which is where the name comes from, as it transforms from tablet to netbook. Sadly, it does not then roll out.), last got an update to its Android systems back in June, and this (3.2) is said to be the last such update before the upcoming release of Ice Cream Sandwich.
But 3.2 will not just be a softball update, as it’s said to be bringing in plenty of great new features like a “compatibility zoom” feature that will let you get more use out of apps geared toward smartphones on the tablet (it will use pixel scaling instead of just stretching the app, which will make it look better), as well as some support for smaller screens like the popular seven inch tablets.
The only remaining issue now is one of timing. While the Twitter feed made it clear that tomorrow was the day for the upgrade, it wasn’t clear whether it would be all at once, or tomorrow would be the starting date for it to begin landing on systems, and it would take a while to complete. So if you’ve got an Asus Eee Pad Transformer, best keep an eye on your system over the next couple days for the update.
So what do you guys think? Looking forward to the new upgrade? Or should they have just held out and done Ice Cream Sandwich all at once? It doesn’t matter how you feel about it as long as you tell us, so head on down to the comments section and fill us in.
