Samsung Galaxy S II Images Leak Showing Off A Slide-Out QWERTY Keyboard [AT&T Bound Samsung Galaxy S II Images Hit The Web, Will Arrive Running Android 2.3.4 But The Release Remains A Mystery]

We have recently watched the Samsung Galaxy S II roll out to several wireless carriers up in Canada, and well, those in the US are still waiting on news of a release. That being said, we do expect it to come available in the US, and at this time it seems to be more of a question as to when as opposed to if. Either way, while we wait we will continue to keep an eye on the rumors and the leaks.

And coming as of this morning, we have what appears to be the AT&T bound Galaxy S II which has appeared in the form of several images. Of course, we should clarify this, as of now the images are being presented without AT&T branding. But on the flip and positive side, the handset is showing the model number of SGH-I927, which has been previously associated with the AT&T Galaxy S II.

The one strange part here, well, strange as compared to past history anyway. The SGH-I927 that is pictured is sporting a slide-out hardware QWERTY keyboard. And as anyone who has followed the mobile world may remember, the Samsung handsets with QWERTY keyboards seem to of the Sprint variety. Granted, things can always change.

Anyway, the handset is expected to be dubbed the Samsung Attain when it launches. As of now the most recent rumor is suggesting that AT&T will launch the Attain in August. Otherwise, this is a Gingerbread handset running Android 2.3.4 and sporting an 8 megapixel rear facing camera with flash.

Otherwise, while there is still the need for some hands-on time, the keyboard looks to be decent. Well, decent in terms of nicely spaced keys. Plus, we like the four Android style buttons that are on the left and right sides. Notice the Menu and Home on the left and the Search and Back on the right.
