New Samsung Device Gets Outed Thanks To Korean App Market
A bit of a puzzle has cropped up, folks, and the puzzle revolves around a new device, of some sort, from the crew out at Samsung. It’s been dubbed the SHV-E120S, and speculation about it is already beginning to run amok.

Out at T Store, which is an app market out South Korea way, the Developer Center within the market has a new and wholly unannounced (at least that anyone’s been able to spot so far) device from the crew out at Samsung. What we know about the device in question is that it’s said to be packing a WXGA screen showing at 1280 x 768 resolution, and this backed up by a single-core Snapdragon processor along with Gingerbread for an operating system.
And this is where the speculation gets fired up in earnest. Some have noted that Samsung previously released a handset running under the designation of the SHV-E110S that packed in an 800 x 480 screen, so it made some sense to suggest that this was simply the next version of an earlier handset. Some, however, are offering up further speculation that this may be some kind of tablet, or just some kind of proof of concept model for an HD phone from Samsung.
Me personally, I’m thinking this is just the next version of a previous Korea-only model from Samsung. Though considering the move toward HD phones, this may well end up kicking off something that’s a lot more interesting than one Korean-only handset may imply by itself. This could just be a proof of concept kind of thing, in which Samsung just proves it can be done.
So what do you guys think here? Is this the start of something much bigger, or simply the next installment of a rather low-powered Korean-only phone that just emerged to little fanfare? No matter what you think about this, we always like hearing from you, so head on down to the comments section and tell us what you think!
