Ubisoft Delays From Dust PC To August
Ubisoft’s latest downloadable offering, From Dust, was one of the games that stole the show at E3 2011. Ever since being featured at Microsoft’s Xbox Live Summer of Arcade booth (along with some other notable titles like Bastion), it seems that anticipation for From Dust has skyrocketed.

If you’re one of the people excited for this game, the good news is that it’ll be on Xbox Live Arcade this Wendesday! The bad news? The PC release has been pushed back into August. Originally planned to release alongside the Xbox Live version, Ubisoft has set the new release date for the PC version of From Dust to August 17th.
So, PC players don’t have to wait too much longer before they get to play From Dust, but it has to be said: waiting until two day before release to officially announce the delay is a pretty crappy thing to do, Ubisoft. They didn’t give a reason for the PC delay, which makes me think that Microsoft had a hand in getting the PC version pushed back. After all, if it isn’t on PC the same day that it’s on Xbox 360, that’s more money going directly into Microsoft’s pocket.
Sure enough, taking a quick glimpse at the dates for Summer of Arcade 2011 pegs August 17th as the day the last game in the promotion, Toy Soldiers: Cold War, releases. While there’s been no official confirmation, this certainly seems to be the reason why it was delayed. As well, PS3 owners are still waiting on a release date for their version, so I don’t think Ubisoft is making too many friends with the way they’re handling the release of From Dust.

This is fucking bullshit! Way to go Ubisoft!
Ubi is showing a real problem with integrity if the delay is true. Companies need to quit pandering to microsux. Show some real cajones and release it on the 27th of july as they originally announced instead of this BS, bait and switch.
Ubi is the bi**h from microsux
