Star Wars: The Old Republic Trailer Recaps All Eight Playable Classes

New Star Wars: The Old Republic Trailer Invites You To 'Join The Fight' By Giving A Recap Of The Game's Eight Playable Classes

Over the past year or so, BioWare and Electronic Arts have been slowly releasing tidbits of information about the playable classes in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Now, here we are, six months or so before the game’s release (hopefully), and all 8 of them have been revealed. If you missed a class somewhere along the way to this point, you’re in luck, because BioWare has released a nifty little trailer that recaps all the playable classes in the game.

The trailer covers all eight classes – the Jedi Knight, Trooper, Smuggler, Jedi Consular, Sith Warrior, Bounty Hunter, Imperial Agent, and Sith Inquisitor – in just over two minutes, so we don’t get to see that much of any one particular class, but there’s still plenty of action between the eight of them. I have to say that even though I’ve never been much of an MMO kind of guy, I’m pretty excited for Star Wars: The Old Republic (if only because the Bounty Hunter class looks like it’s a blast to play).

There’s still no solid release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic, and lately EA’s even been a bit dodgy about what year it’s going to release. The best we can give you at the moment is a holiday 2011 release window, but that may be pushed into 2012 before all is said and done.

We’ll have that release date for you once it’s officially announced, but in the meantime watch the trailer below and then head down to the comments section and tell us what class you’re going to play as when Star Wars: The Old Republic is finally released to the MMO-loving masses.
