Motorola Droid Bionic Could Land on AT&T Too
While we’re all eyes on Verizon for the release of Motorola’s new LTE smartphone, the Droid Bionic, it seems that the device might also be headed to competing carrier AT&T. Before AT&T subscribers get too excited though, know that neither AT&T nor Motorola announced anything.
It was a screenshot acquired by Intomobile that led to deductions regarding the Droid Bionic‘s future availability on AT&T. As you can see on the image below, Motorola’s custom UI Motoblur is listed for model MB865. AT&T begins its model names with MB (while one of Verizon’s common letter combinations is “XT”), so it’s really the numbers 865 that matter – and model XT865 on Verizon is the Droid Bionic.

If the Droid Bionic would indeed be available on AT&T, it would be devoid of LTE connectivity, so AT&T would have to compensate some other way to entice consumers. Either that or sell the handset cheaper, as an LTE-capable device never comes cheap.

Stop propagating this false information. MB model numbers are not exclusive to AT&T. The VERIZON Droid X and Droid X2 both had MB model numbers.
Droid X: MB810
Droid X2: MB 870
Also, the Bionic is XT875, NOT XT865. The XT865 is the OLD scrapped version of the Bionic,
