Facebook iPad App Trick Found Then Blocked
Facebook has said that it doesn’t want to create an iPad app stating quite clearly that they don’t see the iPad as being mobile. Even so, people are finding that, within the code of the iPhone app, there lives what seems to be a beta version of a Facebook iPad app. Almost as quickly as the trick was found, it’s being blocked.

According to Techcrunch, they are hearing “tons” of reports of people trying the trick out for the first time and being blocked. Even those who were lucky enough to sneak a peek before it was too late, functionality seems to be breaking down. Bummer, man.
There are rumors that there really is a Facebook iPad app coming soon and that this sneak peek could definitely be part of the final code.
One question arises because of this short-lived sneak-peek. Do you think Facebook did this on purpose to create hype, or do you think this was a mistake and Facebook is kicking itself for messing up a proper launch?
