FBI Makes Multiple Arrests In Connection With Anonymous Hackings
Well, folks, seems that the FBI’s been busy following the recent spate of hackings on the part of everybody’s favorite decentralized semi-autonomous hacking collective known as Anonymous. A number of arrests were made mere hours ago following a recent string of hackings on some fairly major names.

The arrests so far cover the map, and range from New York to California and points in between, with, apparently, a brief stop in New Jersey. No one was giving up much in the way of details, only that fully 14 arrests were made in all following the hackings that hit a variety of places including the city of Orlando, the extended Sony outage (though that was really more Lulzsec than Anonymous, though since Anonymous absorbed Lulzsec following the Sony attack it really can go to Anonymous’ credit now), and attacks on places like Tunisia and Turkey.
If history has taught us anything, it’s that Anonymous in general isn’t likely to take this sitting down. But in a case like this, going after the FBI may not exactly be the best course of action. It actually puts me in mind of something another anon recently said when we talked about the new Anon Plus social network, about punching holes in a beehive with a fistful of honey.
What will happen after this is anybody’s guess, though one thing I’m reasonably sure of is that the hackings will not stop. There will always be some anon somewhere who gets a raid together and goes after something. Maybe he’ll get caught, maybe he won’t, maybe he won’t even be a he, but chances are a hacking will happen, and fairly soon.
So what do you guys think about all this? Should Anonymous cut out the hacking lest the entire internet get censored? Or should they carry on with the good fight in the grandest Three Dog tradition? No matter what side of this issue you find yourself on, head on down to the comments section and let us know what you think!
