Motorola XT860 4G, aka Droid 3 Announced For Bell Canada
It looks like those in Canada will soon have another Android smartphone coming available by way of Bell. The handset is the Motorola XT860 4G, though some may recognize it a little easier as the Motorola Droid 3. Of course, the Droid 3 is the branding for the Verizon version here in the US.

That being said, while Droid 3 runs off the tongue a little easier, the XT860 4G is almost the same device in terms of specs and features. But first, lets deal with when the device will be available. But sadly, this is one of those announcements where they let us know its coming but not exactly when it is coming. In short, at this time, Motorola and Bell have stated that it will be available “this summer.”
Otherwise, similar to the lack of information on the release date, the price has also been left unmentioned. The one part we can confirm here, the XT860 4G will be “available soon exclusively at Bell Mobility.”
“Bell has established itself as Canada’s superphone destination and we’re excited to add the Motorola XT860 4G – our first superphone with a full keyboard – to our already impressive portfolio of these powerful devices,” said Tony Grewal, Director of Products at Bell Mobility.
In terms of features, the Motorola XT860 4G comes with a 4 inch qHD display, dual-core 1GHz processor, 5-row slide out QWERTY keyboard, front facing VGA quality camera, rear facing 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 1080p video recording, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and a 1540 mAh battery. And lastly, the XT860 4G is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and as implied by the name, will take advantage of the high-speed HSPA+ network..
With that, you can rest assured in knowing that the crew here at TFTS will keep you up to date as to when the price and release information is made public.
