Spotify U.S. Release Date Revealed: It’s Tomorrow
Tomorrow is July 14, or Bastille Day, the day the French people cherish and celebrate fervently every year. But while the French troops will offer another interesting military parade on the Champs Elysees, something else will take place, at around the same time, in the USA. Spotify will finally be available in the USA, after a very long wait.

Spotify is already a very popular music service in Europe and some U.S. music enthusiasts have been waiting for it for quite a while. But, as our very own Robert says, there already are plenty of alternative music services that would get you your music fix in the USA, without actually needing Spotify services.
Spotify issued today a pretty brief press release confirming that the service will be available tomorrow morning (EST), which is also when more details about it will become official:
New York, July 13, 2011 – Spotfy, the award-winning digital music service loved by millions of Europeans, will become available tomorrow morning in the United States by invitation and subscription. Spotify is a new way to listen to and manage your music, discover new tracks and share songs and playlists with friends – music whenever you want it, wherever you are.
Be one of the first people in the U.S. to experience Spotify by signing up at www.spotify.com.
Spotify will announce more details at 8:00 AM EST.
A Spotify iOS app will also be available, probably tomorrow (here’s the link) too, and I guess it’s pretty safe to say Spotify will be available on Android and plenty of other platforms in the USA. We’ll be back with more iOS updates tomorrow, but in the mean time don’t hesitate to share your thoughts with us about the arrival of Spotify in the USA. Anyone particularly excited about it?
