Amazon Giving A "Digital Bonus" To Those Purchasing An Android Smartphone Or Tablet

Buy An Android Device From Amazon & Get $15 In The Form Of A "Digital Bonus" To Try Out Amazon's Other Services

We often share news in regards to the low prices that Amazon has on smartphones, and as of today it looks like they have begun throwing in a little extra. The extra comes in the form of a “digital bonus” and will be given to anyone that purchases an Android smartphone or tablet from now through October 11th.

That said, this one seems simple enough, buy an Android device from Amazon Wireless and get the digital bonus thrown in for free. The bonus is $15 in credits to use towards Amazon’s other services. Basically, this seems like a good way for Amazon to get you hooked on the other services such as MP3, Apps and the Kindle store.

The bonus comes with $15 in total, which breaks down as $5 for Amazon MP3, $5 for the Amazon Appstore and $5 for the Kindle store. In short, enough to give you a tease and a few goodies. And while it would have been nice to see a little more given for each (mostly for the Kindle store), we have to think that most are coming to buy a phone or tablet from Amazon because of the low rebate-free pricing. In other words, this is just icing on the cake.

Otherwise, there are some catches involved and watching the fine print from Amazon, here are a few items that you should make note of if you choose to buy under this promotion;

  • You must purchase a qualifying Android phone or tablet through AmazonWireless.com before midnight (PST) October 11, 2011.
  • Buying through the standard Amazon.com website does not qualify.
  • Digital Bonus feature is only available to customers in the U.S.
  • Your $5 credits expire on November 12, 2011 at 11:59 PM Pacific time.

Plus, as always you can still expect to get the free two day Super Saver shipping thrown in with your purchases.
