LG Thrill 4G Gets A Coming Soon Style Listing With AT&T
It looks like AT&T has given us another chapter in the story of the LG Thrill 4G smartphone. Of course, some will remember the earlier mentions which included AT&T offering an official announcement back in March and then following up a while later in June with a new press release and word that the handset would be available “this summer.”

And well, as many likely realize, summer is upon us and while we still have yet to get a specific date from AT&T they have added a coming soon style product listing on their website. That by itself would not mean all that much, except for the obvious in that the handset is (for lack of a better term) coming soon. But when you take this listing and combine it with the previous rumors coming from Sam’s Club tipping the handset as arriving in July it starts to add up to something to watch.
That being said, we are expecting something to come from AT&T sooner rather than later. And if nothing else, this listing just goes to show that those who are waiting for the handset to arrive, well, they can start getting a bit excited. And with the lack of a release date, we are also still lacking the price.
Otherwise, what we do know are the specs and those look like they will shine for someone looking for a large displayed Android handset with AT&T. The Thrill 4G is sporting a 4.3 inch WVGA “glasses-free” 3D display along with a dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP4430 processor, 512MB RAM, 16GB of storage (8GB internal and 8GB on the microSD card), HDMI, 1500 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS In addition, there is also a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera and dual 5 megapixel cameras on the back. In terms of the rear facing cameras, they will shoot 3D images as well as record 3D video at 720p and standard video at 1080p.
