Motorola Droid Bionic Leaked In New Best Buy Ad; Release Date Not So Much
Alongside the Motorola Droid 3, the Droid Bionic is one of the most interesting Android handsets coming out of Motorola factories in the near future. Each of these two smartphones has some unique qualities and each one will appeal to a certain target group. But neither of them is available in Verizon stores.

Right now we’re going to talk about the Droid Bionic, Motorola’s first 4G LTE handset, a device that was supposed to be launched already in the USA. But Verizon never got to start selling this LTE device as Moto decided to postpone the launch of the Bionic in order to upgrade the handset some more. The new and improved Droid Bionic, although we were never offered any clear details as what to expect from the device just yet, is supposed to bring a better smartphone experience to the user.
It’s going to take a while until we get to judge the performance of the Bionic, compared to other Verizon LTE handsets and compared to other smartphones in general, but we can’t tell you when that will happen since we don’t actually have release dates for the device just yet. What we can, and will show you today is a leaked Best Buy ad that’s featuring the Droid Bionic already. That can only mean the smartphone is getting closer and closer to launch.

The ad tells us that the new Droid Bionic will pack a dual-core processor, HDMI mirroring, wireless syncing, video chatting capabilities and 4G LTE support. The specs and features are pretty vague so far, but it’s pretty clear the new Bionic will be just a little better than the “old” Bionic.
The phone that appears in the image here (and you can compare it with the previous Droid Bionic design available in the header image) seems to confirm that the previously leaked images featuring an unreleased Motorola handset were actually showing the redesigned Droid Bionic. We also know the Droid Bionic has passed through FCC recently so, with all this info on board, we can only wait to see what early August will bring, which is when Verizon could finally launch this LTE baby.
