Limbo Heading To PlayStation Network & Steam
What was once exclusive to Microsoft and their ilk will soon be available to all: Playdead has revealed that the Xbox Live hit Limbo will be coming to PSN and Steam “very soon.” This announcement comes after rumors suggested that Limbo was heading for PSN when a rating for a PS3 version popped up in the Korean Games Rating Board’s listings.

This dark adventure game has been exclusive to Xbox 360 for nearly a year, leaving PC and PS3 players sitting there while Limbo won award after award and became one of the industry’s indie darlings. Even though it’s a simple game about a boy looking for his sister and the perils he faces on his journey, Limbo has won numerous Game of the Year awards and has landed on many critics’ Top 10 lists.
And now PS3 and PC players get to see what all the fuss is about. Playdead says that they’re handling both ports, so those buying it for the first time don’t have to worry that they’re buying a sub-par version. Playdead boss Dino Patti didn’t have too many details to share about these new versions, but said their release date draws near, so we’ll be hearing more about them soon.
For now though, we simply have to wait. It’s still great news with or without details, but when the time comes, you’ll be able to find those details right here at TFTS.
