Samsung 32GB Class 10 microSDHC Cards Launched
Mobile networks are starting to roll out their 4G capabilities. But what do you do with all that speed if your device cannot efficiently store large amounts of data? Samsung’s latest microSD cards promise to support performance requirements of 4G smartphones.

Samsung’s new 32 GB microSDHC cards are rated as class 10 devices, and can support read operations at 24 MB/s and write at 12 MB/s. The cards feature 3-bit NAND flash memory chips and a proprietary controller to ensure adequate performance at high read/write speeds. Samsung says the chips are created using a 20-nanometer fabrication process, which is finer than its previous 30-nm technology, which improves efficiency by 30%. With these efficiency advancements, the new 32GB microSDHC cards are part of Samsung’s Green Memory initiative.
At these speeds, Samsung’s microSDHC cards promise to improve the mobile experience by ensuring seamless storage and transmission of full HD videos, which are expected to be trend once 4G networks go mainstream. Samsung also plans to release a 64 GB variant by early 2012.
