Apple Posts Final Cut Pro X Frequently Asked Questions Page [Amid Some Final Cut Pro X Controversy, Apple Posts Question & Answer Page On Importing, Exporting, Media Management & More]

Apple officially released Final Cut Pro X back on June 21st and since then we have seen a rather large amount of complaints. The app quickly became the lowest-ranked piece of Apple software in the Mac App Store. And while some were defending the release, Apple took a rather surprising step and began offering refunds to some users.

Needless to say, if Apple felt it warranted to give a refund, something is not quite right and not being a video editing professional, I have to take the word of what I can see and read. So far most seems to focus around this — Final Cut Pro X is a good product for the amateur but not the professional. Some have gone as far as saying that Apple should have released Final Cut Pro X as iMovie Pro or Final Cut Pro Express.

Either way, and regardless of how people feel at this point, Final Cut Pro X has been released and Apple as to do something. Well, something aside from simply defend it and offer refunds. With that, they have launched a new frequently asked questions page on their support website for, you guessed it — Final Cut Pro X.

Anyway, the breakdown of the page is spelled out as follows;

“Final Cut Pro X is a breakthrough in nonlinear video editing. The application has impressed many pro editors, and it has also generated a lot of discussion in the pro video community. We know people have questions about the new features in Final Cut Pro X and how it compares with previous versions of Final Cut Pro. Here are the answers to the most common questions we’ve heard.”

From there Apple goes on to cover topics including importing, editing, media management, exporting — and strangely, whether or not you can purchase a volume license. With that, if you have purchased (or have been considering a purchase) of Final Cut Pro X you may want to check out the FAQ before making up your mind and shelling out your $300.
